After School Program

We provide homework help, as well as activities in the following areas: academic enrichment, Bible/spiritual lessons, social-emotional learning, games, arts, cultural history, music, and more! Grades 1st-4th meets every Tuesday-Thursday from 2:15-4:30pm. Grades 5 & up meets every Tuesday-Thursday from 4:30-6:00pm. Students must register to participate in the program.

The DACC Child Development Center (CDC) is available to children ages 15 months-5 years (pre-k). We offer a summer school age program for those who are 5-12 years of age. The CDC is open to everyone:students, DACC employees, and those in the community. Assistance with payment is available to those that qualify (CCRS). There is sometimes a waitlist, so please contact them as soon as possible. Please contact the CDC for more information at 217-443-8833

The YMCA provides a days off/child care program on all school holidays during the school year except Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. 7:30am-5:30pm K-5th grade – All School Swimming everyday Stop by the Welcome Center to Register! Please bring: Sack Lunch, Swimsuit, Towel and a Bag Fees: $22 per day (State Assistance and Financial Assistance Available)

Y-Kids Afterschool Program

We engage kids in physically active learning and imaginative activities that encourage exploration of who they are and what they can achieve. Students get assistance with their homework from Y-staff, are served a nutritious meal, participate in the CATCH curriculum, and form long lasting friendships that enhance their development and growth, and self-confidence. Programs run until 5:30 PM. Services are for students of Edison, Northeast, Liberty, and Mark Denman Elementary Schools. Registration for Y-Kids is available at the YMCA's welcome center. We accept state funding.
