Big Brothers Big Sisters
Defend the potential of Vermilion County youth by offering 4 hours a month or 1 hour a week to meet with your "little." You will provide support and guidance to your "little", modeling a positive lifestyle and gaining a friend at the same time. We ask for an ongoing 1 year commitment, paired with the same child. You must go through an enrollment process, which includes an application, interview and background check. Ignite potential in your "little" by spending time together, exploring parks, visiting museums, taking in sporting events, or seeing a new movie. The possibilities are endless!!
STEP Recovery Center
Opportunities to fulfill court-mandated public service work.
We have opportunities to live out the 2 greatest commandments by assisting with neighbor intakes, prayer support and more. The Connection Center is the hub of the ministry and serves as a bridge between those in need and our congregations seeking ways to serve.
Our Empowering Families Programs will give you an opportunity to making lasting impact on families in the community. We offer a variety of classes with facilitator, discussion leader and ally opportunities available. Current class offerings are Affirming Potential, Boundaries, Faith and Finances, and Homes of Honor (a parenting class). We are looking for additional classes to add to the program. If you would like to lead a class, but don't know how to reach those who can benefit from it, contact us or register to volunteer at LoveINCVermilion.com/volunteer.
