Crosspoint’s Community Day Services program works to ensure that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve greater independence, personal choice, self-awareness, and wellness opportunities. With the support of highly skilled staff, individuals with disabilities become involved in their communities, develop relationships, skills, and abilities to realize their full potential.  Our program encourages creativity and self-expression through activities and classes to practice and build life skills. Our Person Served go out into the community with a job coach to a job to learn to work independently.

Crosspoint has a team of trained Crisis Intervention Counselors that are available 24/7, 365 days a year.  They are able to provide an assessment of immediate need, address that need, and provide referral and linkage to an appropriate level of care.  As a mobile team, they respond locally to OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Carle Regional Hospital in Hoopeston, the Public Safety Building, community providers, and, when safe and appropriate to do so, other community locations.

Crosspoint offers developmental evaluations and developmental therapy services to children from birth to three years old.  Developmental therapy will encourage speech and communication development, motor development, social skills, and play skills. In addition to having Dr. Lee on our staff we have a full time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Kari Hercules. Kari does telehealth and in person services. Crosspoint’s psychiatric services include expert evaluation and medical management of mental health issues.  psychiatric services occur within the context of a treatment program.  Our professional providers are part of the treatment team; most counseling, therapy, and support is provided by trained therapists, social workers, nurses, and care coordinators.  Medication can be helpful in relieving symptoms and be prescribed as part of a treatment plan that typically includes therapy, education, and community support. Crosspoint offers supervised living options to individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illness throughout the Danville community.  Each supervised living arrangement is staffed by Crosspoint’s dedicated staff, who help individuals complete daily tasks and work to assist people in achieving their goals and fully participating in community life. Everyone who receives residential services can participate in any of Crosspoint’s community day services, vocational, skills training or therapy services, depending on their needs.  All activities are part of an environment that promotes hope and opportunities to thrive. Residential Care Coordination assists residents with appointments, coordinating family visits and programs. Skills Training follows a curriculum for building life skills working toward independence.
