CSBG or SNAP BRP Car Repair Assistance

For the CSBG Program -ECICAA provides: (a) Car repairs and or towing assistance to income eligible customers to remove barriers to employment, education attainment or medical appointments. (b) Provide (4) transportation assistance opportunities for rural residents in Ford and Iroquois Counties to travel to medical, mental health and or nutrition service assistance. (c) Payments for rural transportation will be made directly to the "Show Bus" Transportation Company. This assistance will allow the customer to become self-sufficient in meeting and maintaining transportation needs that are vital to health, nutrition, education, and employment needs. For the SNAP BRP Program, eligible participants must be employed or seeking employment.

Hoopeston Multi-Agency Van

HMA offers Van transportation within the Hoopeston City Limits. The bus runs from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. -with the exception of their lunch break from noon until 12:30. The bus is open to anyone that may need a ride. It is primarily utilized by the elderly and disabled. The van charges $1.00 per stop - however, no one is refused a ride if they are unable to pay. To utilize the van, please call the HMA at 283-5544.

Monday through Friday, Newell Township provides transportation to individuals 60+ from 8:30-3:30 and 1:00 - 3:00. The cost is $1.00 each way, and the individual requesting the service must be able to get in and out of the vehicle on their own. This service is for Newell Township residents only. Call the office at least 24 hours in advance to schedule a trip.
