CSBG Emergency Management Disaster Relief

ECICAA provides emergency resources to income-eligible individuals and families during natural disasters. Financial assistance in the replacement of loss of food, clothing, beds (frame, mattress, box spring and headboards), and transportation due to natural disasters. 2. Financial assistance in covering the cost for processing fees for the attainment of lost documents such as: Driver's Licenses, birth certificates, State of Illinois Identification cards and marriage certificate. 3. Financial assistance to individuals and families who have experienced inhabitable living experiences in covering the cost of hotels or assistance with rental. 4. Family and Community Development Specialists will work with community partners such as the Red Cross, United Way, or other disaster relief foundations to ensure funds are properly leveraged.

LIHEAP Energy Bill Payment Assistance

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP): Provides a one-time payment to the energy providers of families with low incomes to help defray a portion of their winter heating costs and aids in keeping the household warm. Payments are based on types of fuel utilized, income levels, and geographic region. Bring: Power Bill, proof of 30 days income for all working in the home, and Social Security cards for entire household. The Agency will see walk in customers on Tuesday and Thursdays while funds are available.

LIHEAP Furnace/Boiler Repair/ Replacement

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Furnaces: Customers who are eligible for the LIHEAP Energy Bill Assistance Program and who are in need of furnace repair and or replacement may contact our office to sign up for furnace replacement and or repairs. This program is available only when furnace dollars are available. You must qualify for LIHEAP Assistance.

Weatherization Services

The Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program (IHWAP) helps low income residents and households conserve fuel and reduce energy costs by making their homes and apartments more energy efficient. IHWAP also provides many health and safety upgrades ensuring safe and healthy homes. Energy conservation and health and safety measures provided through home weatherization can ensure citizens have access to more affordable energy services. Weatherization services that can be funded through IHWAP include: Air sealing Attic and wall insulation HVAC repair or replacement Water heater repair or replacement Electric base load reduction (lighting and refrigerator replacement) Ventilation and moisture control measures (and other health and safety measures) Maximum $16,000 per eligible client's home for energy-related weatherization and repair work Maximum $3,500 for health and safety related measures Eligibility depends on household income (income of everyone living in the unit). To be eligible to receive assistance, the household's combined income must be at or below 150% of the federal poverty level using State funds, and 200% of the federal poverty level
